Weekly Lifestream for April 3rd
Just finished running 5k non-stop; first time I did that (or tried) in a long time. Time wasn’t great but I finished feeling fairly strong [ericblue]
+1 since yesterday was a tiring leg workout [ericblue]
Needed a little rest/activity balance since I spent 2 days in front of a computer restoring lost data [ericblue]
Need to get moving on personal projects… insane work schedule + data snafu has been all consuming [ericblue]
Also little time or mood for reading the last few weeks. I’ve been very much in repetitive work, tactical and goal mode [ericblue]
Posted Weekly Lifestream for March 27th.

I have an interesting idea for a cool hack that uses (POW) to run a javascript-based web server inside firefox. [ericblue]
Possible REST or command-line interface to some firefox plugins. Might be easier than trying to port to XULRunner or other "hacky" methods [ericblue]
It’s been ages since I’ve done a Firefox plugin so my XUL skills are pretty rusty [ericblue]
In about 5 mins I verified POW (http://bit.ly/f0Wy57) lets you run Server-Side Javascript and I just invoked another plugin’s API 🙂 [ericblue]
Reminds me of the PiggyBank plugin from MIT. It ACTUALLY ran Java in a firefox plugin using an embedded instance of Jetty [ericblue]

Getting good use out of my iPad using Zite, Flipboard, and MobileRSS for ‘personal’ news. Each has pros/cons, but all 3 together rock! [ericblue]
Excellent way to catchup on Twitter, Google Reader, and Facebook. And much more engaging and usable than wading thru linear (boring) lists [ericblue]

Oh the hacking I’m going to do….. [ericblue]
I’m sure my ‘techy’ tweets might be alienating some followers, but bear with my while I’m back in my geek/hack mode [ericblue]
I actually "should" be working on my tracking project, but through the wonder of structured procrastination I find myself engaged otherwise [ericblue]
I also can’t type today… damn spellcheck [ericblue]
So far ‘hacking’ is going good.. writing an email interface for the Firefox Scrapbook plugin. Now I can save articles from any device [ericblue]
I know there are a lot of services out there that do this sort of thing, but I’m still a huge fan of the DIY approach [ericblue]

Walked 1.5 miles to pickup more coffee (k-cups) @ 8AM. That’s caffeine dedication. [ericblue]
OMG I can hardly freaking wait!! GMail just sent a popup/notice that better ads are coming soon!! Joy!!! [ericblue]
(thick, obvious sarcasm) [ericblue]
Very cool to email a link from Flipboard, Zite (or anywhere) and have it automatically save in my Firefox Scrapbook [ericblue]
Will be writing a post and sharing the code soon [ericblue]
Wrapping up a nifty blog post and heading to the Brentwood food/art festival [ericblue] |
