		<description>Hi Eric,

Using Mind Maps as a dashboard is an excellent idea and one I use all the time. The secret to its success is being able to partition the relevant areas of your life so your top level dashboard is ust a few branches.

My top level dashboard is Projects, Personal, Business, Knowledge and Daily Capture. The projects branch then brings up a new map that has my current projects on it together with links to my archived projects and so on.

I find that by doing this I can get to the important areas of my life very quickly in just a few clicks.

I created a whole system based on GTD by David Allen (I note you are a fan) and from how I saw Rich Schefren using it (if you don&#039;t know him he is a marketing guru).

It works for me and any half decent Mind Map software will let you do that.

Regards

		<description>I&#039;m totally hooked on using Mindmaps as a personal dashboard. In fact now couldn&#039;t function without one. This series on my blog might be of interest;

&lt;a href=&quot;http://rcd.typepad.com/rcd/2004/08/mind_managing_y.html&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;http://rcd.typepad.com/rcd/2004/08/mind_managing_y.html&lt;/a&gt;

It was posted a couple of years ago but I still use the same system, with a few refinements to the maps
